Joist Jackets® and Ledger Jackets™ are revolutionary new products that will protect your deck framing long after the warranty on your deck flooring runs out. These Jackets are made of non-toxic, semi-rigid PVC with a built in memory retention that allows the Jacket to fit snugly over the width of the boards you are using. The corners are designed to allow continuous airflow so moisture does not get trapped under the Jacket, causing premature rot.

The Jacket System is designed to be used over all types of wood, including pressure treated. It’s use on treated wood stops water from following the nail or screws used to hold the deck boards to the framing. The PVC has natural ability to seal itself against the screws, preventing moisture from traveling down the screw to the inside of the wood, trapping water inside and causing it to rot from the inside out.
